Do any of you guy know if any of the industrial slants from late 70,s or early 80,s had any better parts like maby removable exhaust valve seats or anything. I can get a couple that were from generators that were propane fueled and thought migt have better valves and seats. Thanks |

I believe by the late 70s and early 80s the engines were identical to the passenger car motors. Some heavy-duty industrial engines in the early to mid 60s did have internal differences, but that didn't last into the 70s. The fact they were propane engines is nice since they will have less carbon buildup in the cylinders and will likely be in better condition. |

They might have gotten rotators, but I doubt they had different seats. |

Almost certainly not—those were in the heaviest-duty "225-3" truck engines of the 1960s, but once hardened seats and unleaded fuel came in, rotators went away pretty much across the all-brands board, because the problem they were there to address went away with once the lead was taken out of gasoline.
