hi have a 1976 d100 with 3 speed trans. started having prob shifting gears so adjusted the clutch and problem solved.I have had to do this more than a few times and clutch makes a ?roaring? kind of sound sometimes when I push clutch to the floor? Am running out of threads on the adjusting rod?!?! |

Thats the sound of a throw out bearing as it nears the end of its life. |

Yep I had that sound before mine went. DONT BUY ONE FROM O-REILLYS! They are made of pot metal and dont last. See here http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... ght=clutch |

thanks for replies guys.Nic looked at link to post about your clutch probs and it is a mirror of mine.i started by replacing the z bar bushings and have the bracket bending when clutch is pushed down too. mine is a 76 but I had to look twice at your pic,same color too! have never replaced a throwout.are there any links on here to it or any advice? thanks again guys |
