So it seems the Dart is getting gasoline into its oil somehow, though it's not burning any oil (which would point to bad piston rings I would figure). What else could cause that?

Blown diaphragm in the fuel pump. If you have a leaky fuel pump diaphragm the gas can drain directly into the crankcase via the fuel pump shaft (hole in the block for the fuel pump arm to ride on the cam lobe).
Replace the fuel pump and see if the problem goes away.

Cool, I'll see if that helps.

Now, uhhh, I'm having a senior moment; what's ECS?

I just saw the exact same stuff on a "california spec" pump, so I remembered it's Emission Control System, which this car doesn't have

I have a interesting story about this. Told to me by my father. Happen to a 65 Fury w/ 318. He gets a call from my mother that the car died, so he walked down to there it was.... and he was noticing a trail on the ground... it it fallowed right up under the car... lol

The fuel pump was dumping gas into the crankcase... and filled up so much it was running out.... this caused problems the engine had to be rebuilt soon after this...

I was doing a rebuild on a 318 after finding an extra 3 quarts in the oil pan. Hmm smelled of gas. Burned like gas in a coffee can. The engine practically sparkled inside, but the bearings didn't appreciate it. After two failed mechanical fuel pumps I went to an electrical pump.
