I'm rebuilding my carb on my '84 W100. It has a Holley 1945 carb that is not original. It is a reman by Holley. It has a #663 jet in it. Does that seem too rich? I'm below 1000ft and my engine is stock. The reason I'm rebuilding the carb is that it didn't run good between 1800-3000 rpm. Any help will be appreciated. |

Normally on the cars we see them at #58 in 1974 (too lean), about #61 in the later models.... I have a couple of late 70's truck 1945's and they are jetted as #63's. |

I found a thread where Aggressive Ted posted that #62 was about right but no more than #63. I had a #63 so I put it in and it runs better. It still needs some adjustments and need to work on the distributor curve but it's getting better. |
