Wile I have good experience with manual's
deciding what's best for a slant is new to me .
Much of my driving is mountain roads . My ingrain technique
is go first gear to top gear as soon as you can. On level roads
that technique to just kinda lug is ok .
The slant is a bit edgy wile each gear represents all the power one needs . On mountains there is lots of shifting going on
So Is it ok to just keep it in lower gears and let it roar a bit
Can the slant take it ?

based upon how you shift,,,,, yes

for a stock motor, keep it under 4k rpm's

No tachometer , but for sure not gonna go max speed in any gear and think that's good . I do believe the sooner I get the original equipment size tire
195 - 75 -15 or availability 205 -70 -15 I will see the true performance
of my truck .
I went to Firestone and I can get Iron man 195 75 15 installed for $300
The sales men had a phone tablet APP that showed how many more spins the smaller size factory delivers compared to 235 -75-15 .
He said substantially lower gearing with a 195 .
The truck has a pretty deep overdrive so I need my third gear a bit lower
& the 195 will do it
basically I need 30 to 40 MPH gracefully in third gear up a hill .
for now second gear does 35 MPH up hill's .

Lugging engine where there is excess protesting vibration generated probably is not the best habit for crank baring longevity. Bring RPM up enough to stay in torque curve when up shifting, and smooth engine operation.
