So I might (big might) be getting a Super Six setup for the Dart, but I was curious if there's any difference in linkage between the Holley 1920 and the Holley that comes with the SS setup. Anything that'd have to be changed? |

I believe the air cleaner is different and probably the linkage. There are some pics in the super six article on this site - A look at them should give an idea what the diffs are. http://www.slantsix.org/articles/supersix/article.htm |

The two rare peices are the super six throttle cable (a V-8 one can be used with some adjustment)..the 1 barrel version is too long to work... The other one is the kickdown linkage.... If getting the whole stack make sure you got your money's worth and grab those two parts... -D.Idiot |

I don't know it there is some thing about 1970, I know it was a kind of tranition year. BUT when I converted to a super six i used my stock throttle cable(it was shorter than the super six cable that I got) and the stock kick down linkage( the super six one was to short). |

The stock one-barrel throttle cable CAN be used. It just is alot longer than the two barrel so it looks messier and usually requires a loop. The only problem i have ever seen with using the one barrel cable is tha the holes in the sadle on the end of the cable might need to be drilled out a little bigger to work with the two barrel carb. Some do, some don't. The kickdown linkages DO NOT INTERCHANGE! Reed |
