FYI- Just recently noticed that at about 57 mph the throttle valve seemed to be sticking- wouldn't decelerate immediately when released, then "popped down to idle. Lubed linkages & pivots, R&R'd throttle cable- no change. Opened the carb., looked inside and found the floats binding slightly on the sides, against the bowl. "Adjusted" floats slightly for clearance & smooth operation. I had overhauled the carb 4 years ago with a Borg Warner kit & new Borg Warner floats. This was not a problem immediately after the OH, only 4 years later. Thanks Borg Warner. |

Wild guess, Per your post in that thread, assumed you might have the Catalyst protection system. With throttle positioner solenoid. Its function sorta matches your throttle hang up. 57 mph pretty close to 2000 rpm. |

Thanks for the heads-up. I may have 2 issues, one of which I found (floats), and the other closely resembles your good data. I'll do more troubleshooting. |
