Id like recommendations for new plugs- i think that i also need to remove the ring before installation...? how often do they need replaced? NAPA?

Tune-up parts and technique suggestions in this thread. Use NGK spark plug № ZFR5N (stock № 3459). Gap to 0.035". Yes, remove the metal ring washers before installation.
