| Post subject: | Oil Pan |
I believe I need a new oil pan for a 71 Duster with a 225. We had a new rear main seal block cast after the last one cracked after being previously tap and died. Now when the pan is installed it is leaking, but we cant find a new one or a published match for this engine/car. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there any other pans that will work? |

The more common oil pan can be gotten from any 1967-1976 A-Body (Dart, Dart Sport, Demon, Duster, Valiant) with a slant six. You also can use the oil pan from any F-body 1976-1980 Dodge Aspen or Plymouth Volare, but the oil drain plug will be in a different position (but is still usable in an A-body without issues). |

Is the aluminum seal holder what is leaking or is the rear main seal leaking? Sorry I'm not sure what is leaking.Where are you located? |
