Post subject:  Storing transmission for years

So I got me this 82 A904 transmission wich will be stored maybe 5 or 6 years. Should I drain it? Should I fill it up with ATF? Anything else to consider?
Thanks
Chris

Post subject:  I know a couple of answers...

I'd fill it up and put a driveline yoke into the rear or get a 'plug' to cap the tailshaft off... and pull the torque converter off so it doesn't ruin the front seal and or pump by just sitting there...

other guys might have better advice...that's how my buddy stores his A-727's in his barn...

Don't forget to plug the hole for the filler tube.
