I need some info. I'm getting a 2 barrel intake for the truck and from what I've read on here so far it's not exactly a everything works swap. First, what new carb do you guys recommend and what about the throttle cable and kick down linkage for the automatic transmission ? Thanks |

Hey Kenny I upgraded my slant a couple of months ago and haven’t regretted it for a minute! A Super Six manifold was scrounged from a pile at a nearby salvage yard. Counting on advice and recommendations I received on this message board I sought out and found a Motorcraft 2150 Carburetor (1.08”. venturi). This was rebuilt using a kit from Daytona (also recommended here). They really are quality kits and worth the money in my opinion. This Carburetor required an adaptor to fit the Super Six intake, those are readily available from multiple manufacturers and sources. I went with Summit’s throttle and kickdown linkage kits but there are other options that are discussed on this board as well. In the Engine FAQs you’ll find links to thread describing manifold installation. This was a valuable resource, as I would’ve been relying only on instructions in repair manuals and you know how those can be. |

Right now I have an Offy intake with a 2 barrel adapter plate (I don't recall the brand, maybe a Transdapt) with a Holley 500 cfm 2 barrel. I used the Bouchillion throttle and trans kick down cable kit. It all works well and runs strong. My engine is a high mileage stocker with 0.090 off the head, headers and HEI and distributer recurve. I have run an Autolite 2100 and 4100 and both are nice running carburetors. |

I guess I need to get over to the parts wanted and see if anyone has one for sale. Thanks again. Everyone on here has been a huge help. |
