Hey folks -- I've got a 1961 Valiant with a 3 spd manual on the floor. The shift linkage is mechanical. A couple of days ago, the pivot point for the shift fork snapped where the clutch fork clips onto it (not a ball pivot point, looks more like a soccer goal with the crossmember broken off.) I found the piece that broke off when I removed the inspection plate at the bottom of the tranny. I'm wondering if it would be better to try to get the pivot welded back together, or try to get a new bellhousing? My concern with getting a new one is that they may be pretty rare for the mechanical linkage, or possibly the floor mount. Does anyone have any advice and/or contacts for a bellhousing? Thanks...

Lets see, isn't this the floorshift bellhousing that leans the tranny to the left? I may have one of those. :)
