One of the bolts that holds my main bearing cap in place needs to be replaced. Any ideas on the best place to order just one bolt?

Prolly you can get one from a board member. Post on "parts wanted". Otherwise, order from McMaster.com. They are the best hardware place I know.

If you are talking about that "seal retainer", in the picture. I just go to the local nut and bolt store, and get the proper length allen socket head bolt. I like them better the the 5/16 12 point head that the factory used. Seems like I can never find that socket. 6 point no problem.

The slant in my 65 Belvedere has allen screws holding the rear seal cap on right from the factory.

I have seen both, 5/16 12 point and allen head, from the factory.
