Hey guys, so my 225 burns oil/smokes above 3000 rps... Anyone have this issue? Runs great gets good gas milage but smokes bad above 3000. Rings?

First thing to check, is the PCV system.

Is the smoke blue-ish? It might be the rings. Check the PCV valve and breather first as Charlie mentions. I would pull the valve cover and see if the valve stem seals are intact. If the valve stem seals are gone it will burn oil. If the exhaust guides are bad you can siphon oil past them. If the oil rings are plugged up you might be able to use Kreen to get them freed up and working. http://kanolabs.com/engCle.html

If the smoke is black it's too much fuel. What do the spark plugs look like?

Blue smoke, pcv valve seems ok but i have an open breather in The other hole of the valve cover. Plugs are almost a perfect light brown...
