What and where do I have to modify/dent my '369' oil pan (from 1971 Valiant) to use in my 1963 Dart? Is this straight forward or just trial and error when trying to fit the engine in the chassis? Thanks, Brad |

You really should install the correct oil pan onto the engine... The Slant Six center link requires a pretty large dent along the rear sump of the 369 pan. Installing the 64-66 V 8 center link reduces the amount of pounding required. The pan's left front corner also takes some denting... but not as much. DD ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the reply and the great pictures Doc. I am sure you are right and I will probably just wait and swap pans during the engine swap since the only early pan I have is in the car now. In the mean time I will keep looking for another 60-66 pan. Thanks, Brad |
