I`m looking at a set of 2.8l piston but the pin size is .906. will the stock rod need machining to make this larger pin size work?

Terry I had the machine shop resize mine. But it may work at factory specs? I don't know. :?: :?:

rick what did you have done? the difference is .901" stock so not sure if .906" is a go! one shop said it will but I`m not sure. I just had my first pin move and hurt the cylinder wall but it was a reused piston and pin.

I dropped them off at the machine shop and told them what I had. I said to resize them to accept the bigger Chevy pin size. Picked them up a couple days later.

did you use the 2.8l v6 pistons? trying to understand the shallow ring description , when I check the piston it takes a standard ring not the shallow!! confusing.

Yes 2.8L Chevy pistons off Ebay with standard rings on 198 rods.

I`m looking at these with 225 rods in the blown engine with the block surface cut 100th.
