We have a 14K lb forklift with a Chrysler slant 6 on propane. We would like to switch it from propane to gasoline as it is used mostly outdoors. Would this conversion be as simple as removing the propane system and replacing it with a carburetor and accompanying fuel system? What else would we need to change or modify?

We had such a forklift at the airport, and it was as simple as adding a fuel pump, carburetor, and distributor. The distributor on it had no advance and had points, so this is a good time for a HEI conversion if that's the case with yours. I don't remember how the carb linkage was hooked up though.
