Where's the best place to get new valves and springs? How much should I expect to pay?

I'm going to rebuild an old head and put it on the /6 in my 71 Sweptline. I need new seals (burning oil) and thought I might as well do a little bit extra.

I plan on getting the old seats ground, and new seals installed, but wanted to do the rest myself. Is there any kind of machining process involved in seating new valves to an old newly ground head?

Thanks for your answers,

Joe

Here in LA my local machine shop did the whole job for $300.00 and that included hardened valve seats. The ultimate cost of a job is determined by the amount of work you want to put in it, in my case did a factory rebuild. If you get into custom work (larger valves-porting etc) expect to pay accordenly, personally would leave the maching to a shop unless you have or can use the proper equiptment as the work must be percise, definetly get a 4 angle cut and install hardened valve seats... Dave (BTW as I write this i'm now looking at over $500.00 just in labor to redo my head as I want all the tricks).
