Okay guys and girls since wiseco doesn’t make 60 over pistons for the 225 I’m looking at k/b cast aluminum pistons stock cp height and will be using the 7 inch rod on the 225 has anyone else tried that combo if so how’s it work? The engine has a ported and polished head with a 3 angle valve job, a Oregon 470/470 lift cam, polished crank, 4bbl intake and a header will those pistons last when being beat on??? And if not who makes good 60 over pistons? |

If it's a stock compression height piston you will be roughly .120" up out of the hole. 7" rods use KB 2.2 liter pistons. They end up roughly .020" down with an uncut deck. |

Is the engine already bored? If not Wiseco has .045 available. Maybe .084, you would have to call. https://www.campbellenterprises.com/sla ... istons.php |

Wiseco can make a "custom" piston 60 over but it's really expensive. |

No, cast pistons will last if you beat on them. There are many options for pistons such as RaceTech, Venolia and a few others that make reasonable custom forged pistons. |

Tell us more of what your plans are with the engine. Is is a race motor, street strip.....etc.. Plenty of Slant 6 engines have been run hard with the stock 225 rods and stock pistons. |

Going to be a street/strip engine and it’s already been bored out 60 over so it’s now 3.460 does somebody make a 2.2 turbo piston that size that I could use the 7 inch rods with and if so what would the compression be I’m looking for around 10-1 |

here is a link to the dished KB 268 pistons https://uempistons.com/series-2621-kb-a ... kb268.html the KB 239 is similar but is a flat top with valve reliefs both the 268 and the 239 have been used with the long rod in slant six builds more info is available at the KB web site, the pistons and rings are available from KB or other sources like Summitt, Jeggs,,,, https://uempistons.com/c-43-kb-automoti ... hyper.html You will need to see if there is a size that matches to the ,060 over block,, I doubt it as the 268 and 239 are metric pistons,, so it may just another trip to the machine shop. |

By turbo I meant the pistons made for a Chrysler 2.2 turbo I’m not putting a turbo on this motor |

A stock 2.2 piston is 87.5mm (3.445) and a .5mm oversize is commonly available. 88mm = 3.46457 or basically, a 065 oversize. You will have to hone a few more thousands out of the bores to get the correct fit but that is pretty straight forward. DD |

Depends on if and how much your block has already been decked. |

Quote: not been decked
you will be good, just have the pistons in hand before doing the final bore sizing
