 Post subject: Clifford problems-help!

I
am having a huge problem while trying to get my 65
Dart rebuilt as a hipo street car.

I ordered from Clifford performance:
-headers
-mild cam, lifters, pushrods, etc.
-intake
-Weber downdraft 40idf
-Valve cover

The whole deal. It was rebuilt and put together by
Tyerman's in Burbank who have a lot of experience with
the Mopars. The problem is, the car is falling on its
face. Everyone we have talked to says that the Weber
is too small. Even Redline Weber haven't been able to
help. Clifford claims that we don't know what we're
doing.

We have done everything they said: changing idle and
air jets, putting a fuel regulator on at 2.5 pounds.
It runs rich and just won't go.

I am losing faith in Clifford. They have not been
helpful. What do you think? Do you know anyone with
this setup? Clifford says that they have been selling
this setup for 2 years, but they don't know anyone who
has the setup.

Help!

Some of the guys at www.slantsix.com are running the duel Webber setup from ProLine fuel.

They may be able to give you some pointers.

What kind of ignition system are you running?
Have you checked the distributor's advance curves?
Where is the timing set?

How about the cam / valve timing, did the cam get "degreed-in"?
Have you checked for a good "split overlap" condition?

Run some checks and make sure these items are correct, you may be overlooking something.
