What throttle linkage should I use when converting from stock to an Offy four barrel with a Holley 4160 carb? The original cable doesn't look like it will work. Thanks.

You gotta make or modify something, or I think I just recently learned that you can get an installation kit from Offy. Call them and find out:

I got to visit Andy of AREngineering today and that was a real treat, when I go to my Hpak I'll be initially using a throttle cable from a 90's Dodge Minivan, but I'll have to make an adapter...

Andy said that Miles Chrysler (formerly Hershberger Chrysler) has a great parts department and you can ask for a throttle cable by length needed instead of by parts number....

Too bad other states don't have it that good, but I guess that's what happens when the Dealership is 1/4 mile from the Drag Strip...

I'm using my stock '70 /6 cable with various reworked and custom made bits and pieces for brackets and kd linkage. I WILL eventally change to a kd cable, though...

I have used the Lokar universal throttle cable ($25 from Summit) on both my cars and fabbed up brackets to the carb from $2 hardware store angle brackets (furniture/carpentry repair brackets) and such.

Rob,
On my sons 72 dart we used the stock one barrel cable assembly. If you have a B & M shifter or know someone who has installed one recently. They usually send about 20 brackets along for mounting to the trannsmission. These brackets are great for mounting things. I took one of the brackets and bolted it up underneath of the carb mounting plate and bolted the stock pinch bracket for the stock cable right to the side.

Worked great!

Rick

Thanks for the replies everyone. Once I get the four barrel and headers bolted up I'll try fiddling with it again.
