how do you fill the radiator and block so you don't get air trapped in engine?

If you are talking about a typical Chrysler factory installed slant application, the radiator cap is higher than the engine water passages, so it will self purge the water jackets as the motor runs and warms up. I guess it can take a cycle or to but it is no big deal. Fill the radiator with the blend of anti freeze and water that you desire, start the motor, let it idle with the cap off. Pay attention and add more of the mix when the thermostat opens and the water jackets burp. Turn the motor off, let it cool then recheck. Check again after a few days of driving. There are cars / trucks that due to the position of the radiator fill cap that have a bleed valve, but normal slant applications is not one of them.

Technically, if you don't want to have to wait for the boil over to puke the bubble... I fill my new engines this way so I can worry about break in and adjustments instead of wearing the blowover and mess on the floor...with all the hoses in place, pull the temp sensor connector and then pull the temp sensor... on 1974+ engines you can pull the temperature vaccuum switch for the EGR near the t-stat housing instead...this provides an opening at the top of the head's cooling jacket. Fill the radiator, keep an eye on the level at the sensor hole...once you catch some liquid in the sensor hole...not the top of it, teflon tape or RTV the sensor threads and reinstall, hook up your hoses or connector and you are off to the races with minimal top off later.
