Hi All, is the early A-body axle width the same as that on the later 67+ A-bodies? Put another way, will the 8.75 I have from a 71 valiant fit without modification into my 1963 which currently has the original 7.25" axle?

Thanks,
-Jon

Yes. You will need to use the u-bolts and shock plates that go with the 8-3/4. You will also need to shorten the driveshaft about 1-3/4".

Thanks Dennis and Lou, looks like what I have will work. Fortunately I have the shock plates, u-bolts, etc.. Time to get to work!
