I put a cable operated linkage in my '64 slant Valiant, and it was simple. I can't remember the donor car, but it was a Mopar...probably a truck. The bracket mounts flat against firewall without any problems. I'm also using a Duster pedal with cable linkage on a modified '56 Plymouth, and it was a bit more difficult. |

Thanks 64Convert! I'm guessing you just drilled new holes for the bolts and cable through the firewall? It doesn't look like the new set up will line up with the previous hole for the rod system. |

That's correct. It was easy to calculate the location and the cable length is forgiving. Mine was a little longer than needed, but I just put a small loop in it. |

I used one from a '75 Dart. I removed the flange, welded up the holes, and drilled new ones. The best place is where it is most comfortable for your foot. |
