Heres the info: 64 dart, rebuilt gauges / cluster. Ivr is a modern digital unit conversion. No more ivr in the fuel gauge. Gauge reads full when full. By my mileage measurements / filling an 18 gal. Tank, gauge reads "E" when there is about 8 gallons remaining in tank. I believe sending unit to be newer but have not pulled it out yet. Tank is new~5years or so. Can this possibly be fixed by bending the float arm? Will be pulling sending unit soon to investigate. Ideas appreciated. Greg |

I'm sort of surprised that you got no answers to your post. Our family has had 9 Darts/Valients, with only ONE reading correctly at Empty. After checking all wiring connections and cleaning grounds, my experience is that bending the transmitter arm is the answer, by trial and error. With our family, my target would be to have the gauge read Empty with 2 gallons left in the tank, on level ground. Not Murphy proof, but Murphy resistant. Maybe others can chime in on this for you? |

See this thread and hope you don't have one of those. |
