How difficult would it be to mount a Diplomat or Fury/ 5th Avenue 8 1/4" rearend into my '75 dart with a 7 1/4"? Will it bolt-up easy, what's the cheapest way?

The cheapest way is to use a 8 1/4" from an A-body. The F-body rearends are to wide.

...Are you sure it's an 8.25", anyway? Most of those 5th Ave/Dippy rears are hybrids with 8.25 style axles and 7.25" center sections, unlessun it's a cop or taxi...
