Post subject:  need a torque convertor

 <- that was me when I figured out my problem. My torque convertor is letting go..... my rear gear is fine, but when I hit the gas hard @ low speed the driveline is "catching" and bucking. Now the 2-1 d/shift is opening up and slipping when my engine applies torque, and she gives one hell of a "thunk" (catching) into 1st or R from N. My tranny shifts fine but sometimes i feel a clunk when revs go down/up during a shift.

So here's the rub; I started Auto Technician (ASE cert) classes here at PTEC in St Pete yesterday and I make almost nothing at the restaurant, so I am a "poor student". I need someone to take pity on me and sell me a cheap, _good_ torque convertor for my '75 Dart SE /6-904-7 1/4. Does anyone have one around? My 66k-mile baby needs your help! local would be good so shipping is nil.....

I'm not sure, but I THINK you can have one "rebuilt" cheaper than buying a new/used one. You may want to check the local transmission shops and find out. Wish I could be more help then that :?

Well i have a rebuild one never used. But if you want to pay shipping let me know. I can get a cheaper price sending to business thru UPS.

Let me know if you want it.
