TWISTED MY DRIVESHAFT INTO AND ALSO BUSTED THE BELL HOUSING ON TRANMISSION AT LAST RACE. THE QUESTION IS HOW TO MAKE SURE THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS STILL IN BALANCE AND NOT DAMAGED. IT ALSO BROKE THE FLEX PLATE WHERE ONE OF THE BOLTS CONNNECT TO THE CRANK. ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Any transmission shop that rebuilds torque converters should be able to check yours and make sure it's okay. Probably for a price, though

Wow, how did you accomplish such a miraculous feet of destruction? Too much traction?

I had a 68 Valiant that broke the snout off the converter a couple of times. The car would still go but you could tell where I had been by the red trail I left everywhere. Any way the way I finally fixed it is when I put the last transmission in it I put one in with a lock up converter. After I put it in I had a vibration when it would go into lockup. That problem turned out to be the slip yoke at the back of the transmission at the front of the drive shaft. The cups for the u-joint would slide back and forth in it. A junk yard yoke and 2 new u-joints later and no more vibration. 8)
