I would first think you should set pan on a large wood block and very gently thump the dent out of the pan using another piece of 2X4 to prevent small dents caused by using only hammer. Richard |

Agreed with Fopar. I assumed you used white paint or something to make those marks? Looks good to me, then recheck after you thump out the dent. Lou |

That’s a little white lithium grease (it was the first thing I found). I didn’t realize there was a dent, but I will for sure try to flatten things out. I guess the grandma who had the car this engine came (one-owner ‘77 Aspen SE sedan) from maybe ran over a curb once or something. Thanks for your help. |
