Should I use an adapter and hoses like a transdapt kit
or should I find a
Australian style oil pump ??
Thanks

whatever you have access to.

They will both accomplish the same thing. but I think the Aussie pumps are difficult to find in Maine.

I have never seen an Aussie style pump.how is it different from the slant 6 oil pump that I have gotten used to seeing?

Cut oil filter location from regular pump and thread an-fittings to passages. Then you have aussie pump.

Hey, Don!

It was done that way because the Aussies drive on the left side, with left hand drive, and have a steering column running right down where the oil filter would need space.
DOH! Just re-read this, and realized I wrote "left hand drive", when it should have been "right hand drive".
Sorry for the senior moment, folks.

Is there any particular reason you want to relocate the oil filter?

Not really a particular reason other then the mess at oil change and figured a remote setup I could run single or duel filter I don’t like the adapter so the Aussie pump had my attention

CORRECTION! RIGHT HAND DRIVE, NOT "LEFT HAND DRIVE"

It is a little fancier than it needs to be, but this is the setup on my race engine. I am not a big fan of the upside down oil filter either.

I too thought of cutting off the flange but I think threading in another fitting is going to restrict it and may crack the housing. I would probably weld a small piece of 1/2" plate to pump and tap that to a larger size.
