Car came with a Holley 1920 which is worn beyond repair. I've been looking around for a cheap rebuilt replacement.

I found this one online. Only info they gave was "for 64-65 Plymouth", "Remanufactured by Endurance (number I-41)". Looks like a Carter BBS to me. Would this thing work on my 73 Dart?

Yep, that's a Carter, and I believe it'll work for your six, though the linkage MIGHT be different. I'm not sure on that though. I want to change the 1920 on the Swinger I'm working on out with a Carter BBS also, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for a junker unit myself.

That one looks similar to the one on a '63 Valiant in a local yard, and the linkage arm looks correct for the earlier 'rod and bellcrank' type of throttle linkage. Someone with more experience might be able to tell you how easy this is to shift it over to a cable type linkage....

Impossible to adapt a rod-operated carb to cable operated, linkage is not even close. Have read here where they are available rebuilt thru Autozone and for major bucks www.thepaddock.com, best bet try the local yard and stock up on a couple and spend the 20 bucks for a rebuild kit. May still have a rebuildable emissions calibrated-cable operated 1920 laying about, would be willing to part with it for the cost of shipping. Good luck....Dave

I may just end up with a Reman from autozone or the like. I've tried rebuilding 2 carbs now, no luck at all. First one was completly messed up inside. The second was a carter BBS I pulled on off my a100 van, which almost worked, but leaked gas out of one of the solder plugs. I think it may have been leaking above the plug also.
