Hello again, I think I was confused about my MS motherboard? And am curious if it has been modified. I probably should also ask and post on diyautotune. Motherboard v3.0 2005  Daughterboard v3.01 2005  Is this compatible with MS3? Will I need the daughterboard. Have these boards been visibly modified? Cheers, Barnaby |

That is an MS2 V3.0 board - the main board is a V3.0 and the smaller board is an MS2 daughter card. The MS2 daughter card would be removed when upgrading to an MS3, and you would need the taller MS3 V3.0 case. |

Thanks Matt! I'm curious why thy original owner of my MS would put a v2 daughterboard on a v2 motherboard? |

Everything in the MegaSquirt world has its own version numbers and they usually don't match the version numbers on other parts. The combination of an MS2 daughterboard on a V3.0 main board is one of the most common builds out there; they were designed to work together. (The previous main board was called a V2.2, and intended to work with the MS1 processor, after a very short run of V1.01 main boards. I think there's about 100 V1.01s boards produced before the V2.2 came out.) |

V3.0 main board was also designed to be upgraded to MS3 w/that daughterboard, is I think another aspect of what Matt said. Lou |
