so i was driving down the road today and sparks started shooting from my blinker arm,what the hell is going on???

Blinker arm? Are you talking about the turn signal lever in the steering wheel? If thats the case, a short may have developed in the switch. Keep your battery unplugged untill you find out whats going on.
