Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'm getting closer to getting my Slant Six back into my 1970 Dodge Dart. Today I was working on the crank pulley. My car has power steering and A/C, so I have the harmonic balancer, a pulley for water pump and alternator, and an additional pulley for the power steering pump (I think?). It looks like the A/C pump is run off a belt that goes to the water pump. However, I'm struggling to remember how to mount all the crank pulleys together. Is there a spacer that goes between the water pump and alternator pulley? Can anyone share some pictures? I also have 6 fasteners, and I just can't remember how this all mounts together. Any help is so much appreciated. ![]()

There are no spacers. The wider pulley goes on back of the damper to drive the compressor. The damper itself drives the alternator and water pump. The narrower pulley (same width as damper) goes on the front of the damper and drives the power steering 3 screws are of larger diameter then the other. I believe the larger diameter without the washers are for the a/c pulley. |

In your top picture that is the correct pulley for the front of the balancer / dampener. It will use the 3 smaller bolts with the captive washers. The other pulley gets bolted to the rear of the dampner / balancer and is attached with the 3 larger bolts that have the Notches in the bolt head. Greg |

At least he didn't have his damper already pressed on. Roger |

Yes you are correct. That makes the whole affair somewhat difficult for that rear pulley to install!
