On their website the tech Q & A seems to recomend doing away with the thermostat. Slant Six Dan uses a thermostat in his application. I'm thinking about using this coolant in my 1963 Dart GT convertible with 225, a/c. and a new large-tube "extreme desert cooler" copper radiator. Engine is stock but a new build. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Any comments would be much appreciated. --Walt Jackson |

Do not, do not, do not delete or underspecify the thermostat! Deleting the thermostat is all drawback, no benefit—no matter what kind of coolant you're running. Use a 180° stat, preferably a Stant № 45358. With A/C, you'll want an appropriate fan and a fan shroud to pull adequate air across your condenser at low/zero vehicle speed. |
