I’m going to use an Offy manifold w/Dutra duals. I need to heat the intake, and have read about a hot water block to bolt under the manifold and connect to the cooling system. Anyone know where to get such an item? Thanks,Steve. |

I made one of these water heated hot spots in 2008 to solve a carburetor icing problem with a Clifford shorty intake and headers. It has worked great ever since. I spliced into the heater coolant circuit in series, circulating 195* coolant. I have driven the car in sub zero to high 90's weather with no problem. I had written this project up in 2008, but can't locate it using search. |

If the junk yards in your neck of the woods still have old Ford trucks, Ford made a nice water heated spacer for between the carburetor and manifold. There are both 2v and 4v versions. I would look for a F150 with a 390 FE series engine. |

I have such a creature if you want it. I got it to put between my Holley 350 cfm and modified Super Six intake but never used it.

Sorry, I have searched the garage and tool room high and low, but I can't find it. It sat right there in the top of my big rolling toolbox for at least 7 years! But nobody knows anything about its current whereabouts. |
