Im trying to find rubber vaccuum tube. My local autoparts store, and from what I've seen on amazon, only carry the combination vacuum/windshield washer fluid tubing. This type of tube is really flimsy and thin walled, I don't think it would hold up to vacuum generated by the engine, especially at underhood Temps. Am I'm being unreasonable? I guess I could try it, but my instincts (and a lot of the reviews) tell me to find better tubing. I don't want to use silicone, as I'm trying to keep appearance original. Where do you find old school quality rubber vacuum tube these days? Got a brand you prefer? |

Those from gates and Dorman are also windshield washer vacuum combo, as I've found everywhere else. The Fairchild is actual vacuum hose, and it's rated at 24hg, I hesitate because I believe my engine vacuum ranges from 20 to 26 during varied operation. But, I'm getting tired of looking so I'm just gonna order a few and see which one has thickest wall |
