I'm going to attempt to bring the 225 back to life. Dad parked it '87ish still running fine. A few days ago my painter dropped by and we spent a little time with it - finally got it broke free, I had soaked it in atf/trans mixture last year but it didn't help at the time. Lots of carbon on the pistons that cleaned up ok. can't see any real sidewall pitting, just some buildup on the wall between TDC and the top, so I may take a hone to it and see how clean or crappy it really is. We'll keep tearing into it over the next week, but I'm really hoping to get it going because Paint/body tapped me out.

I'm definitely going to need an intake and exhaust manifold, mine are cracked. If you have an inexpensive 2bbl intake and carb, hit me up. I'm on a super tight budget now, but hopefully can get it running by summer.

On the paint front, EB5 has been laid down, 3 coats of clear. Blocked from 800-2000 currently and he's taking a little break before moving up to the final 3k finish.

This was taken down to bare metal, Pics are right after the last clear coat was laid and before any sanding started.

If you are on the real cheap budget for 2 barrel and have a manual transmission you could always convert a 1bbl intake to 2 barrel and run a parallel setup. There is an thread/article about it on here. Converting the intake allows use of whatever 2bbl carb you can make a flange for, just keep the CFM in the normal range for a slant.
