I can't find any NOS lower control arm bushes for my 1961 Plymouth Valiant at a reasonable price. Shipped to Australia they are about AU$150 each.

What other options do I have - use later model control arms, etc?

Thanks

If performance handling was a goal, turn your own on a lath out of delrin would be my suggestion.

Use a '62-66 A Body K Frame, Swap to the ubitiquius A Body '62-'76 Lower arms and parts. Will also require you to swap your steering box, possibly the steering column and possibly the motor mounts to '62 parts.

Probably is cheaper and easier to get those expensive bushes.

Yes, the 60-61 front suspension is quite different and as Greg said to get a more common suspension is quite involved.
I had a 61 Lancer and was surprised at the unique parts compared to my mid 60 A Body experiences.
I just assumed 60-61 were the same.
