Does anyone know what years the D-100 to D-150 trucks used an 8 3/4 rear. My 84 D-100 has the 8 3/4, but pretty sure it was swapped in by a PO. |

I believe 8 3/4" Production stopped around 1974. My '73 Barracuda E Body has a factory 8 3/4" rear and They might have been used in trucks / vans up to that date as well. Replaced by 8.25" and 9.25" Chrysler Axles in '75 or so. My dad has a '75 D100 that he bought new in '75. I believe it has the 9.25 Chrysler axle, but it is definitely not an 8 3/4" THe 8 3/4" was surely swapped into your 80's truck! |

I don't know much about these trucks. I was actually happy to see the 8 3/4. It is a 3.91 SG. Hopeing to get the truck squared away for the 2014 racing season. Make a pretty nice tow vehicle. Won't be a ball of fire, but should get reasonable fuel mileage with the super six, and 833 OD. |

74 or 75 I think was the last 8 3/4. |

Nice upgrade on the wheels and tires, also. Original P195/75-15 now P235/75-15 on cop car type wheels |
