Just curious about the ages of slant six racers. Who is the youngest, and is any one older than me?
PS: I'll be 82 for the 2024 racing season.
PPS: I know Meril Brunner is 90, but not driving any longer.

Well, I guess I am in between at 65. I have been racing since 1980, nearly every weekend up until I married in 2000. Since then, it's been off and on with various 'street' cars. I am anxious to get back in the thick of things.

I'm 65 and on 2 new knees. My cousin Chad is in his early 50s and helping with the car now. Not sure we'll travel much, we're going to concentrate on getting the car whipped into shape at our local track.

Isiah Bruner is around 22, IIRC. Not sure of anyone currently racing younger than that.

I am 52 in 18 days, FWIW. My stepdaughter Liz might someday get behind the wheel (5 yrs or more), but who knows??

I started drag racing in 1958. There were some years I could not race (military, no extra money, real life things). Started racing the slant six in 1974 (but have raced GM, Ford, and Mopar). I have done dirt and asphalt circle track, some road course, but mostly drags (what I could afford). Over the years I have raced at 53 different drag strips (most no longer around), in 15 different states. I keep saying I'm going to quit, but I enjoy the racing and friendships too much. So I guess I will hang around for a little while longer.

My age by birth - 62

Well I will be 85 this year and I will still run my rear engine rail. Dave calls me older than dirt Doug calls me gramps. So go figure :roll:

56 and never been down the 1/4 mile.... Not that I wouldn't mind but like is always brought up racing ain't cheap....

Hey Fopar! Nice to hear from you and glad to hear you and that lovely creative rail are going down the track. There is some chance I will be able to come see you guys this year... Probably by air and not in a Slant car, but still it would be fun to get together.
