My fuel sending units gas guage floats around. So it needs another fuel sending unit. Was wondering if you guys could point me to the right direction on where to find or how yo fix pics below. Thank you. It's a 83 d150 I saw some for sale on eclassics.com and the picture that pops up is from a ram charger. Should I use that one or get the d150 one? Just want to make sure before I buy one

Edit- also does anyone know the sizes of the gas tanks 20 30 an 36? An if there is a number or something in the tank for reference. Also I'm looking at LMC what what is the side bed mounted gas tank? Also why does one say w/CA an the other doesnt.doesn't. Just trying to get the right one since my truck has parts from all over.

But make sure that is your problem. It is possible you have a bad instrument voltage regulator.

How would I check that? The needle would go up than down.

Is that the correct one for my gas tank?

There are several listed on that page. You need to order the correct one for your year and tank size.

How can I figure out my tank size? It's a truck that I've noticed has alot of different parts from various vehicles

What do you have for gauges? Do you have a water temp gauge? If you have water temp, does that gauge go up and down like the fuel gauge?
