Terrible klunk going into reverse, forward is ok. U-joint? Broken mount? Any thoughts? Thnx, Jim |

I had a '74 W100 I bought new and it did this. Not knowing anything at the time, the dealer said it was normal Cecil |

...not sure abot trucks, but there was a TSB on my '85 Fifth Ave and others around that year with the 904 based trans. There was a kit available for dealers to install in the valve body to make the N to R clunk less harsh. We'd have to do a little more research on that angle. "DW" |
