Finally getting back to the slant in the 83 d150. Noticed a groove in the oil pickup tube. Maybe more of a dent. It aligns with the #4 rod cap nut. Obviously was hitting before. Normal? Will this cause a problem? It's set with interference with the bottom of the pan and it's really close.

A lot of the trucks have a "dent" in the pick up tube from the factory. If it is not hitting now you should be fine. |

Sure! Yours is very minor. I have seen them much longer than that.
