Hey Welcome! Looks nice and clean and as long as you didn't go overboard with cutting it should help. |

Thanks. Nothing but a skim taken off the deck, as I have a torqstorm supercharger which should help push the air through! |

You could have had more taken off that head because with tolerance stacking they come out lower than advertised any way. |

Hi Volerdon I didn't want to play around too much this time around. When the time comes, I'll take it off the block. My last slant was 11:1 with 46cc chambers and I had to control ping with water meth injection over 4k, was originally set up for propane (lpg). Hay BUCKET 636 if that's a pic of your old car, that's what it looks like now (above), new paint, interior and stainless. The skull on the bonnet now lives in the glove box! |

That aussie wagon is an interesting looking piece of hardware. Is that (US) 64 valiant fenders with a dart hood and grille? I would love to get my hands on a good clean early wagon or the completely not in the "ute's" that existed in Australia. |

Yes , that's a pic of my old Wagon , was wondering where it got to or if it was still on the road . Good to see she is still around . I now have a VC ute with AP5 guards and a AP6 Grille and bonnet . |

I home ported a /6 head for the first time a couple of years ago, actually had it flow tested when member "Dad Truck" had his flow bench, with his experience and comparisons to others he has flowed he seemed rather impressed by what I had done, I have had the engine running just for break in so far, haven't driven it yet/ as I have other work going on with my truck, like adding AC, bodywork and interior work.... but honestly at the time I happened to be working on that head, there seemed to be alot of threads about more experienced members here "hitting water" (grinding too far in the "wrong" areas within the ports) and if you look, there was a slant 6 head that was sliced and diced to show the innards.... with pictures too.... honestly scared me a bit, as I made my metal dust.... I did have it crack checked when I sent it to the machine shop for the oversized valves to be machined for and installed, and they didn't find any.... so far, in the time I've run this engine and had it up to temp I see no evidence of water breaking thru where it shouldn't... but in case it ever does, because of "thin ness" in the wrong places, I do have a fresh from the machine shop, but stock, head here to swap in "just in case".... Prior to porting that head, I'd messed around with a die grinder on a couple of other "known junk" / cracked (other Chrysler engine) heads that I knew were headed to scrap and would never see usage on another engine for "experience".... I never did have those crack tested, because they were never going on another engine anyway.... and couldn't believe how easy it was for the die grinder to "get away from me" and "oops" (nick) the valve seats..... On that note all I can say is to do your porting BEFORE you send the head for the "valve job" in case you have similar luck... I have 2 sets of 318/360 heads I'd like to do a little grinding on..... one set has already had the basic valve job done.... on either set, I wasnt planning on spending as much time on as I did my /6 head.... keep it to smoothing and deleting casting boogers, more than anything. |
