Floored my 904 shifts from 1st to2nd at 3500rpm and 2nd to 3rd at 4000 rpm. Is it normal for the 1st to 2nd shift to be at that much lower rpm?
It accellerates much better when I put it in 1st and shift at 43-4400 at about 45mph. it shifts into 3rd at 76mph.
Thanks!

Lengthen kickdown rod. This will up the shift points. That sounds about right for a stock /6, but it sucks for performance.

Where in SE Pa are you?

Cool, Allentown is my ancestral home... I get up that way sometimes.
