I'm using a Clifford intake manifold with a stock exhaust manifold in my turbo build. I originally used a 1/8" plate to block off the heat riser, but it warped. So I'm making a 1/4" thick version. Would anyone else want one of these plates? They'd be $20 or less if ordered in quantity. It won't fit any intake manifold that works with the stock exhaust manifold.

Hi Matt, I do not need one of these, but I was confused by this..

Shouldn't the exhaust block off fit on the exhaust manifold? Maybe you are saying that if you use this on the exhaust manifold you cant have a working Exhaust hotbox junction any longer to the intake manifold?

In other words It will work with Clifford, Aussiespeed, Cain, Lynx, and Reproduction / Original Hyperpack, or other custom intakes with no exhaust heat provision.

Sorry if that was a bit confusing - this bolts to the exhaust manifold. I meant to say that you can't sandwich this in between an exhaust manifold and an intake that already bolts to the stock exhaust manifold, like a Super Six.

For the Lynx, Hyper Pak, etc, you'd need to make sure you have at least a quarter inch between them and a stock exhaust manifold.

I had one block off plate years ago with my Dutra duals with rear section made of original exhaust manifold. And a Clifford non-water heated intake! The block off plate came from Ebay and I think it was 1/4" thick. One of 3 bolts (closest to the block) had to be modified avoiding interference between manifolds but it was doable. Probably the bolt hole could be modified (drilled down for the bolt head) as a normal head bolt is more usable.

I suspect that you could countersink the bolt hole and use an allen head bolt for a completely flush bolt. I would use a stainless steel bolt for future removal.

Placed an order for a few of them today and will have pictures of the installation when they arrive.

Made an extra batch of them, and they're available for sale.
