Anyone know of a good source for automotive carpet padding? I got a set of new carpet for my truck on my birthday, but it doesn't come with padding, and I couldn't salvage the old stuff

Don't mess with jute padding, go to your local uhpolstry shop and get some foil backed sound deadner, comes in rolls or if purchased locally could be cut to length. Not as cheap as jute, but durable and will not retain moisture (trust me,you don't want to see the results of going through the car wash with the windows down and then 35 years later discovering why you have no floor pans) If you insist on jute any of the auto carpet companies should be able to set you up...Dave |
