Hey guys and gals, I have a ‘65 Dodge A100 pickup project I’d like to sell. I have an ad posted on the Vintage Vans forum you can check out. I have done a lot of work and modifications on it and am feeling a bit overwhelmed with it. It also doesn’t help that I’m losing the drive and energy to keep going. I’m starting with $7500 price and will be open to a reasonable offer. I will post some pictures later today. |

Finally got around to getting some pictures, sorry for the delay. Let me see if I can get them loaded. Well that’s just not gonna do. It says all my pictures are too big. If anyone is interested, just PM me, and I can send some to you. I’m not gonna monkey around trying to downsize the pictures. Besides, I don’t know how! |

Thank you Reed for the help. You pretty much nailed the changes. My first (and most expensive) change I made was removing the I beam axle and leaf springs to install IFS. The folks at Chris Alston Chassisworks put together a “kit” for me. I added electric power steering assist also. In the rear I removed the leaf springs and fabbed my own parallel 4 link w/panhard bar. Added air bags as well. The truck was originally a slant six w/3 speed manual. I found a 727 automatic, complete with shifter and cables. I kept the slant, mainly because I could and mostly because I like it. This wasn’t going to be a pavement ripper, just a nice little driver. When I first got the truck, it didn’t have any bumpers, so I had to make my own.In the rear bumper the license plate lifts up to reveal a 2” receiver hitch and 7 pin plug. Might tow a trailer, who knows. Speaking of towing, I’ve toyed with the idea of making this into a tow truck. Kinda like “Mater” in the movie Cars. As you can see in the pictures I made and installed a custom gauge panel with Autometer gauges. I really like how that turned out. I fabricated a center console to house a larger BT compatible radio and added cup holders. The motor, transmission and rear end have all been rebuilt. Torque converter was freshened up as well. The rear is an 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.23 gears. I picked up a 3 row aluminum radiator from Champion for better cooling. I have, but not installed, an electronic distributor and ECU. Currently all glass is out of the truck. I found a pair of seats and 3 point seat belts out of I think, a Dodge Neon. I have all new rubber seals and pretty much 95% of all things needed to complete the truck. Sorry about the long post, but I want to give the best info I can. And now, back to our regularly scheduled program! |

This looks like a super cool platform for finishing up a killer Slant-powered cruiser. Wish I had room for this in my fleet! Best of luck, Lou |

I think you can do it Lou! - Mostly because I think that looks awesome and want it, but there is no way I could do it justice right now haha. Bring it over here to the East Coast Lou!

Well, my 64 Dart has been down and staring at me for 8 years now. It is still my favorite car and my wife Victoria and kids have never even seen it put together. That alone keeps me from buying another project... |

Only 8 years? I'm looking at 20+ I've been looking My dismantled volare and I have 2 trucks in progress that are much more recent "buys". And am making progress on those while that one sits in pieces. |

Well I have some good news. I’ve got a gentleman out of Indiana that is buying the truck. I’ll be shipping it out by this time next week. “Joe” seems to be very excited about it and his wife as well. He’s a staunch Mopar guy and wouldn’t consider anything else. I’m kinda torn about letting it go, but I really don’t see me finishing it. I’ve been a member here for quite some time and have enjoyed and really appreciated all the great help and information I’ve received along the way. I don’t plan to leave, I’ll continue to drop in occasionally just to stay up to date. Special thanks to Reed for helping me post some pictures, thanks Reed. |

Congrats on the sale! If it hits Indiana, maybe we'll see it at a show or race sometime. Lou |
