My O2 sensor on the race car has done wonky. Not ready properly at all. It is an AEM brand. Have any of you replaced the sensor and did you get it from AEM (Summit) or are there others that are the same? Thanks!

Never heard of AEM.

Consistently my best luck with O2 sensors has been with NTK ones.

Sorry Dan, AEM is the gauge manufacturer. I suspect they use someone else's O2 sensor in their kits but I don't know.

I just get the AEM brand sensor that fits that gauge model from Summit. I have had maybe 3 go bad in 15 years. If you are running leaded race gas, like I think you do, they seem to go bad more often (as expected). There are two common types, so check the model on your gauge before ordering the sensor replacement.

It is likley a bosch LSU 4.2 Sensor.

Sometimes you can find cross reference part#'s on these and then order that number on rockauto.

If it is really a Bosch O2 sensor that there might be the issue. In daily driver , newer vehicles usage my experience with Bosch O2 sensors is they're junk. As well known as Bosch is and as good as some of their stuff is (used to be/like everything else these days?) O2 sensors are one group of parts I haven't had good luck with. I use them when I have to at work but try not to. They're usually decent off the bat but unless you like job security see if you can find the equivalent in NTK/NGK. My experience with Bosch is they're good for a year, at best. And then you're replacing it again.
I don't have it anymore but I lost count how many Bosch O2 sensors I went thru on my 4.0 powered wrangler.

I think mine is at least 6 or 7 years old, and I run AV gas which is a leaded gas so I think mine has done pretty well. I would try another brand but I don't know what number I would need and it would have to fit my existing locking plug.

AEM is a great brand. I doubt they would be selling crappy replacement sensors.

I had an innovate that I ran on leaded gas. After it crapped out I switched out to AEM
No problems since the switch with all race fuel
